traveling circus and rock band
Homemade Haircuts is a four-piece indie rock outfit from Columbia, South Carolina. Originally a bedroom recording project, the group has developed its effervescent live sound through years of touring the Southeast.
After years of connecting with audiences through their earnest rock songs, the band is adopting a brash new persona. The band’s new single, “Clown”, veers away from their usual brand of melancholy, instead wryly weaving together societal observations with flatulence jokes and circus tropes. Musically, the band is opting for bolder sounds and crisper production than ever, largely thanks to the influence of producer Tommy Trautwein. “Clown” is a response to the naysayers of the world, and a tongue-in-cheek proclamation of the unorthodox confidence necessary to chase one’s dreams.
